About the School
About the School
Northern Elementary, which lies on the north side of Lexington, opened in 1969. Our school serves a diverse population of students. We are excited to be implementing the House System inspired by the Ron Clark Academy this year.
We also emphasize systems of support that include proactive strategies for defining, teaching, and supporting appropriate student behaviors to create positive school environments. We strive for our students to Be Safe, Respectful, and Be Responsible.
In addition, Northern offers several extracurricular activities such as Knights on Broadway, Girls on the Run, Academic Team, and STLP. We have an active PTA, too, and love to have families involved in our school!
Doors open: 7:55 a.m.
School day begins: 8:25 a.m.
Dismissal: 3:15 p.m.
